Exploring the true culture of the Swahili coast
Pangani was one of the important trading centres for slaves and ivory when the Sultan of Muskat and Oman moved to Zanzibar in 1832. This small Swahili town with its rich heritage is located on the mainland coast of north Tanzania. Expect your visit to be packed with culture and unexploited nature, but very little nightlife.
